Direct admission BDS , A fundamental purpose of dental education is to develop health professionals who will maintain and improve the oral health status of individuals and populations. BDS education based on some common guidelines laid down for all BDS –Bachelors of dental Surgery courses nationwide by Dental Council of India and the Affiliated state university. The basic requisite for becoming a dentist requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Science.Admission in BDS offer under graduate dental training program leading to BDS –Bachelors of dental Surgery Degree and Post Graduate Dental Training program leading to MDS Degree. BDS degree shall be 5 years durations minimum. During this period, the students shall be required to engage in full time study at the dental college

During the 5 years of study 2 years are for theoretical and basic laboratory study and last 3 years in clinical subject with practical on patient . Direct Admission BDS
Dental Science deals with all Dental health problems afflicting the mouth, the teeth, the gums and the other hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity. It is a rapidly changing field creating many opportunities and challenges. It also includes cosmetology where the dentists try to improve the patients’ appearance by using a wide variety of cosmetic dental procedures.
Some of the specialization areas of dentistry are as follows.
►Periodontics specializes in the care of gums and the diseases that might afflict them.
►Operative Dentistry or Endodontics for root canal jobs, fillings and cosmetic surgery.
►Prosthodontics involves the making of artificial teeth.
►Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery deals specifically with operations on the mouth and jaw.
►Pediatric Dentistry for treating children.
►Oral Pathology provides the diagnosis for diseases that affect the mouth
Age Limit :- For BDS admission minimum age limit fixed by the DCI is 17 years and maximum age limit is 35 years for admission in BDS course .The DCI has decided that there should not be minimum or maximum age limit for admission in BDS course.

Five Years Including Internship

(1) 10 class mark sheet
(2) 10 class certificate
(3) 12 class mark sheet & certificate
(4) Migration certificate
(5) Transfer certificate
(6) Admit card of medical entrance exam(AIPMT-2016/17)/UPCAT-2016/17.
