Exam Dates For AIIMS MBBS 2013

Application Fee
For general or OBC category candidates, the fee is Rs. 1,000. For SC/ST category candidates, the fee is Rs. 800. The fee can be paid through a computer-generated challan in any State Bank of India (SBI) branch.Exam Pattern For AIIMS MBBS 2013
The exam is three and a half hours in length with one paper consisting of objective type questions (multiple choice and reason-assertion type). The test is offered online or offline. You may take the test in either English or Hindi, make sure to mark your preference on the application form as this cannot be changed later.The distribution of questions will be as given below:
- Physics: 60 questions
- Chemistry:60 questions
- Biology (Botany and Zoology): 60 questions
- General Knowledge: 20 questions
- Total: 200 questions
Minimum Cutoff Marks
Minimum expected cutoff marks for each category are as follows:- General category candidates: 50%
- OBC category candidates: 45%
- SC/ST category candidates: 40%
Exam Syllabus
The exam is generally written at the level of the 12th standard in the 10+2 scheme/intermediate science. The institute does not prescribe a syllabus.
Incorrect answers are given negative marks. Correct responses earn one mark and incorrect responses are marked -1/3. Unanswered questions receive no credit. If you give more than one response, the answer is treated as incorrect.
Eligibility Criteria For AIIMS MBBS 2013
Eligibility criteria for Indian nationals is explained below.For AIIMS, New Delhi and the six AIIMS-like institutions
Candidates should be 17 years of age by 31 December of the year of admission (candidates born on or after 2 January, 1997 are not eligible). Candidates should have passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent with a minimum of 60 percent marks in the aggregate of English, physics, chemistry and biology. Minimum marks are 50 percent in the case of SC/ST candidates.
If you have appeared or are appearing for the qualifying examination with English, physics, chemistry and biology as main subjects, you are eligible to apply provided that you earn the necessary qualifying marks. Evidence of passing marks must be produced when required.
Eligibility Criteria For Foreign Nationals
AIIMS, New Delhi onlyForeign nationals nominated by the Government of India must have at least 50 percent marks in English, physics, chemistry and biology combined in intermediate science or equivalent. These candidates do not need to appear for the entrance examination.
Eligibility Criteria For Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
For AIIMS, New Delhi and the six AIIMS-like institutions
These candidates are also eligible to appear for the test. The conditions that apply to OCIs are the same as for Indian nationals. Proof of registration as OCI is required.
